ABOUT ME

Katherine Agard was born in Long Island, New York and has always been inspired by children. Their eccentric personalities and wild imaginations amaze her, and she delights in working with them.

 

She is not only a children’s author, but an LMSW who is the Director of Social Work at a nursing home where she works full time. Katherine also works part time with individuals who have special needs.

Katherine passionately fosters creativity and a love for reading in children however she can, and has found her own love of writing to be an excellent tool in doing so.

 

Katherine has always loved the sweet nature of children's books, some of her favorites including 'If You Give a Mouse a Cookie', 'The Giving Tree', and 'Guess How Much I Love You.'

 

She now lives in Albany, New York with her orange cat, Mufasa, and her handsome dog Romeo. Like Albert, Katherine absolutely loves peanut butter and discovering new things in life.
